PADI COURSES

Learn Scuba Diving the right way.

At Diving with Nic we teach the full range of PADI Recreational Scuba Diving Courses. PADI is the most widely accepted and internationally recognised Scuba diving federation that has revolutionised how we teach scuba diving. We build on the fundamentals PADI’s teaching guides by implementing even higher standards. Some standards include manageable ratios that allow students to learn comfortably, all initial training completed in a swimming pool and fully interactive classroom sessions rather than online learning.

PADI entry level courses introduce you to the world of scuba diving

PADI entry-level courses.

PADI’s entry-level courses are the perfect way to take your first steps to become a scuba diver. PADI offers two certifications: the PADI Scuba Diver and PADI Open Water Diver.
The internationally recognised PADI Open Water Diver certification is the most popular way to join the world of diving. This four-day course comprises five classroom and pool sessions, where you will learn valuable scuba diving skills, followed by four open water dives over two days. Students progress step-by-step down to a maximum depth of 18 metres.

PADI Advanced courses.

Once you have gained some experience, the next step is taking an advanced course that takes you further into the underwater world. These include the PADI Advanced Open Water and PADI Rescue Diver Courses.
PADI Advanced Open Water certification takes you into a more elaborate part of diving. The course takes you deeper (30m), shows you new things (shipwrecks), and teaches you more techniques (buoyancy and navigation). There are two required dives (Deep & Navigation), and you get to select three more from a wide range of specialties.
PADI Rescue Diver is a course for Advanced Open Water Divers. It focuses on responding to emergencies in the unlikely scenario of one occurring during a dive. It is an essential course if you are going to dive independently of a dive guide. Becoming a qualified Emergency First Responder is a prerequisite to becoming a PADI Rescue Diver.
